Welcome to our page on perinatal loss. This page and its resources are for women who have experienced loss of a child at any stage of pregnancy, as well as for their spouses and family members. Miscarriage and stillbirth are painful losses that add to the difficulty of infertility, and are their own unique burden of grief. One in five pregnancies ends in miscarriage, and parents experience the death of a child through stillbirth in approximately one out of 160 pregnancies (CDC). Parents and families can feel very alone when they experience these losses, particularly on top of the already isolating nature of the journey of infertility.

We are here to let you know we care deeply for your loss and your pain. We are committed to being honest about pain and suffering and not hiding it away. Our Lord did not hide His suffering from others, and we see you and want you to know this is a safe place that acknowledges your grief. You are not alone. Members of our Springs in the Desert community have also experienced the loss of children along the journey of infertility, and we are here to support you however we can. We will do our best to listen and understand, while acknowledging that every loss is unique and we may not always have answers. Your child(ren) in Heaven is precious in the sight of God, and in our eyes and hearts as well. We are here to pray for you, care for you, and accompany you in your grief. Our God is a God who deeply and personally knows suffering and grief, and who is there for us in the midst of pain. God tells us, “I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you” (Isaiah 43:1-2). Here in this community, we are with you, too.

As you journey through the waters of grief and infertility, please look through the resources and offerings on this page. We pray they will speak comfort to your heart and remind you that you are beloved by God. There is a plan for fruitfulness in your life; let us minister to you. This portion of our Springs ministry is growing, so please check this page again soon for more resources and offerings.
