God in His providence has two ways of blessing marriages: one by giving them children; and the other, sometimes, because He loves them so much, by not giving them children. I don’t know which is the better blessing. -St. Josemaria Escriva

A Lenten Reflection:
It can be tempting to think that God loves us less because He has not given us the gift of children. That is a lie that must be dispelled! Rather, the Lord loves us so much that He has a unique and beautiful plan in store for each of our lives. It is a blessing to be loved by God in this way.

A Lenten Action:
Break out your journal and write down a list of ways that the Lord has blessed you and your marriage. Thank Him for each of the ways that He has made Himself present in your life and poured out His love for you. Ask Him to fill you with a feeling of trust that He has a plan for you and for your good.
