Reflection – First Friday in Lent

“Let no one mourn that he has fallen again and again; for forgiveness has risen from the grave.” St. John Chrysostom

A Lenten Reflection:
Infertility burdens each of us in particular ways, and that burden manifests sometimes as anger, jealousy and uncharitable thoughts and words. The whole point of Lent is to help us “unburden” ourselves, knowing that Christ is making us new creations every time we turn to Him.

A Lenten Action:
STOP where you are. Recognize how much God loves you! If you need to let go of jealousy and resentment over infertility, go to Confession as soon as possible and as often as necessary, embracing God’s forgiveness, and offering gratitude for the good things in your life. Then, forgive yourself as He has forgiven you!
