Kimberly Henkel holds a PhD in Moral Theology/Ethics from the Catholic University of America and is the former Executive Vice-President of the National Pro-Life Action Center on Capitol Hill. She studied bioethics in Rome at the Regina Apostolorum, and earned a Master’s degree in Theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute. Kimberly lives in Mt. Vernon, Ohio with her husband of 12 years, Greg, and their four young children, all of whom were adopted. She is an Affiliated Scholar at Kenyon College, teaches fertility awareness methods to medical school students through Fertility Appreciation Consortium to Teach the Science, and has appeared on The Catholic Doctor’s Radio Show, Fox News, C-SPAN, CNN and RNN TV. Kimberly is co-founder of Springs in the Desert.
Ann M. Koshute, M.T.S. is co-founder of Springs in the Desert and holds a Master of Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America. Following graduation Ann served as Assistant Director of the Family Life Office for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, assisting couples in preparing for marriage. She is currently Online Instructor in Theology at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and lives with her husband, Keith, in Central Pennsylvania. She is a writer, speaker and columnist for the Eastern Catholic Life, the official publication of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic.
James & Alexandra Kleineck are both professional engineers living in Dallas, Texas. Allie enjoys practicing the art of homemaking and playing with their pet Labrador. She currently volunteers at her parish as a catechist to 6th graders and as a small group facilitator for those joining the Church through RCIA . She previously served as a member of the young adult core team at her former parish in Washington DC, where she helped plan retreats and small group discussions.
Andrea Mahoney is a lifelong practicing Roman Catholic who dwells in central Pennsylvania with her husband of five years. She has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of St. Thomas and is currently getting her certification in Spiritual Direction from the Avila Institute to embrace her spiritual motherhood. Phil & Stacey Huneck are high school sweethearts from Fort Wayne, IN. They will celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary in June. Stacey works at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fort Wayne as the youth and young adult ministry coordinator. She will graduate this summer with her Master of Arts degree in theology from Notre Dame. She writes for Springs in the Desert and OSV’s Radiant magazine. Phil is an IT manager at Homeguard Industries. He volunteers at St. Charles with the youth group and watches Purdue football and basketball. He has also recently developed a passion for training and running Spartan races. In his free time, he loves to play with their goldendoodle, Tyler.
